Alexander Nikishin
Out — After agreeing to a one-year, $3 million contract with the Hurricanes on Sunday, Nikishin hasn't joined the team yet. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour told reporters Monday that Nikishin will need a "mini training camp" to get up to speed. It's unclear when the 25-year-old Nikishin will be available to play. He registered 11 goals, 33 points, 33 PIM, 132 hits and 94 blocked shots in 81 regular-season appearances with Carolina in 2025-26.
